Product Code : F 01

Product Specification

Salient Features of Acticast Technology

Classified Chemical Invention @ IENA Germany 2010 Designed for Performance in High Efficiency Blast Furnaces employing Metallurgical Coke, Coal Injection
Downloads Eliminates incidence of Solution Loss Reaction (Boudard Reaction) & lowers Direct Reduction Sustains Carbon balance, Heat Balance with 15 to 20% lesser Metallurgical Coke input Downloads

Flue Gas Profile remains unchanged Metallurgical, Temperature Profiles +vely effected

Lesser CO2 emissions / THM Higher Production / Hr
High Furnace Stability Lower Kcal / THM
Technical Presentation Tests in Energy Audit Methods Comparison report on Coke rates Safety Information
Coke rate Reduction between 8 to 36% (Identical Ash, Moisture % Metallurgical Coke, Ore)

Technical Support for stabilizing BF performance with Acticast application

Results Proof within 3 months
Easy to Implement & Establish

Assured Advantages Lowering Coke rate in the Blast Furnace
Acticast Chemicals are well established to lower Coke rates in Blast Furnaces by over coming Solution Loss Reaction (SLR)
Increases Ore heat absorption & CO Reaction Kinetics
Increased conductivity to metallic ores, heat up ores faster, lower SLR, ensure BF is always hot. CO Reactivity increases due to Ore receptivity BF becomes more efficient, consuming lower Energy / THM
Targets lowering Direct Reduction Reaction (DRR & SLR)
Acticast targets the floor conditions CO2 + C reaction to complete within the Tuyere Zone. Unreacted CO2 from Tuyere is lowered to bare minimum. DRR lowers, reducing thermal load in the system, along with lower SLR. More Carbon reaches the Tuyere due to lower SLR & DRR, lowering coke rate & energy consumption in the BF

Reaction Conditions Comparison-Table
Parameter Normal Condition Acticast Modified Condition
SLR 20 to 25% < 3 to 4%
DRR 13 to 15% < 3 to 4%
Thermal Energy & Intensity Scattered & Normal Concentrated & Very High
Heat Energy Cycles Variable band width Single band width
Thermal Power & Impact Normal + 25%
Metallurgical Profile As Operation Will improve
Molten Temperature Profile As Operation Will improve
BF Efficiency % As Operation Will improve
Input Kcal / THM Normal 15 to 20% Less
Coke rates Normal 15 to 20% Less

Dosage Information
Acticast dosing is upon Metallurgical in prescribed dosages by spraying upon Coke & feed it BF
Dosage 3 to 5 Kg / MT Coke (Higher the CRI, higher is the dosage)

(Pre-requisites for Acticast Tests)
Performance under identical Coke & Ore quality
Dosing labor to be made available
The BF tends to become very hot due to lower SLR & DRR, BF to increase ore load & avoid steam injection

Results Declaration
